01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

Salt dipping noodles are a good choice when you fancy the gentle savouriness of niboshi (dried sardines) with a hint of yuzu. One diner said they finished the dipping broth with wari-soup, a lighter broth added at the end, making it possible to savour every last drop. Other dipping noodle options include soy sauce, spicy miso and spicy green onion.

For ramen, one diner who ordered the niboshi soy sauce bowl remarked that its slightly thick, curly noodles worked well with the soup. There is also miso ramen, as well as old-fashioned Chinese-style noodles in a light soy sauce broth, topped with chashu pork, bamboo shoots, nori, green onion and narutomaki fish cake. Saika is a ramen shop in Nakano with lunch and dinner menus, and is also suited to dining solo.
